The auction appears while a prequel film from director George Miller is in the works, which should help increase interest. Along with Max Rockatansky (played by Tom Hardy), the group flees the tyrant in a high-speed chase featuring fantastical armored vehicles and amazing stunts, Rotten Tomatoes explains.Īccording to Car and Driver, those vehicles are now headed to auction, with 13 of the film’s vehicles available for sale. The warrior Imperator Furiosa (played by Charlize Theron) escapes with the tyrant’s five wives. In the film, a tyrant, Immortan Joe (played by Hugh Keays-Byrne), has enslaved survivors of the collapse of civilization in a desert fortress called the Citadel.
